Hi again! I’m Kat.

I’m a UX designer in Chicago. I’m passionate about creating solutions that elevate communities and improve the lives of others. Humans are at the center of what I do. 

I took a non-traditional journey to UX. In past lives, I was a customer service representative and also did tech support. These experiences taught me, first hand, the importance of good design and that taking user centered approaches results in better experiences for everyone. I was also an operations manager and instructional designer at Uber where I developed educational resources and supported product launches to make Uber a safer platform for all users. Now I’m a UX design intern on the safety design team and recently shipped a product to educate users on the safety help options available in the Uber app. 

When I’m away from my computer, I enjoy getting lost in the outdoors, gardening, cooking and baking. I’m currently working on perfecting my recipe of Mexican vegan conchas (sweet bread).
